Straight discussion questions

What would happen if we took some discussion questions found on the internet about the gay community and reversed them?

  • Are there many words in your language to refer to heterosexuals?
  • How is it being straight in your country?
  • Do you know anyone who is straight?
  • What problems do you think someone goes through when they find out they are straight? Do you think they should try to change?
  • In your opinion, should they say they are straight?
  • What are the main problems straights face at at university?
  • Is it easier for a straight to live in a village or a city?
  • In your opinion, can a straight be a religious person?
  • What main problems do straights have in the military?
  • What’s your opinion on straight marriage?
  • How important are straight associations or organisations?
  • What would you think if your son or daughter told you he/she was a heterosexual?
  • Do you think it’s OK for heterosexuals to kiss in public?
  • Why do you think some people are afraid of straight people?
  • What jobs do you think discriminate most against straights?

I’d be really interested to hear what you think about these ‘reverse’ discussion questions, and what point I’m trying to make.
